Uh, apologies. I was mistaken - it appears that outgoing faxes are not
sent over the 56K analog modem any longer. hylafax connects to asterisk
over /dev/ttyIAX0 provided by IAXmodem, and asterisk then sends the fax
over a regular outgoing ISDN line.

You'll have to spell it out for me - where does T.38 get in the way and
is there anything I can do about it?
