Hi Robert, I tried to compile hylafax-4.1beta3 using gcc 2.95.3, I am getting the following error. I am getting this error for all the modules of the hylafax software but for 2 (port and regex). Do you think I should probably use a different version of compiler? Please let me know if you have some idea. =================================================== /opt/gcc/bin/g++ -a -D__ANSI_CPP__ -I. -I.. -I/usr/include -I.././faxrm -I.././util -I/opt/tiff-v3.4/libtiff -g -O -x c++ -c faxrm.c++ cc1plus: warning: `-a' option (basic block profile) not supported In file included from ../util/Types.h:29, from ../util/FaxClient.h:29, from faxrm.c++:26: /usr/include/string.h:29: warning: declaration of `int memcmp(const void *, const void *, long unsigned int)' /usr/include/string.h:29: warning: conflicts with built-in declaration `int memcmp(const void *, const void *, unsigned int)' /usr/include/string.h:85: warning: declaration of `void * memcpy(void *, const void *, long unsigned int)' /usr/include/string.h:85: warning: conflicts with built-in declaration `void * memcpy(void *, const void *, unsigned int)' /usr/include/string.h:93: warning: declaration of `size_t strlen(const char *)' /usr/include/string.h:93: warning: conflicts with built-in declaration `unsigned int strlen(const char *)' In file included from /opt/gcc/lib/gcc-lib/hppa2.0n-hp-hpux11.00/2.95.3/include/new.h:6, from ../util/Types.h:32, from ../util/FaxClient.h:29, from faxrm.c++:26: /opt/gcc/lib/gcc-lib/hppa2.0n-hp-hpux11.00/2.95.3/include/new:28: `operator new' takes type `size_t' as first parameter /opt/gcc/lib/gcc-lib/hppa2.0n-hp-hpux11.00/2.95.3/include/new:29: `operator new' takes type `size_t' as first parameter /opt/gcc/lib/gcc-lib/hppa2.0n-hp-hpux11.00/2.95.3/include/new:32: `operator new' takes type `size_t' as first parameter /opt/gcc/lib/gcc-lib/hppa2.0n-hp-hpux11.00/2.95.3/include/new:33: `operator new' takes type `size_t' as first parameter /opt/gcc/lib/gcc-lib/hppa2.0n-hp-hpux11.00/2.95.3/include/new:38: `operator new' takes type `size_t' as first parameter /opt/gcc/lib/gcc-lib/hppa2.0n-hp-hpux11.00/2.95.3/include/new:39: `operator new' takes type `size_t' as first parameter *** Error exit code 1 Stop. *** Error exit code 1 =================================================== Thanks & Regards, Mallappa Quoting Robert Colquhoun <rjc@trump.net.au>: > At 15:08 28/05/01 +1000, Alan O'Keefe wrote: > >Hi Robert > > > >I picked up the pre-compiled version of gcc-2.95.2 for HP-UX 11.0 off > the > >Software Porting Centre, (hpux.connect.org.uk), and just assumed that > it was > >OK, (maybe I should read the occassional release notes). ;-P > > Looking here: > http://gcc.gnu.org/install/specific.php#hppa*-hp-hpux11 > > ...shows it is still not supported, and neither are any of the other > previous gcc releases i don't think :-( > > >Hmmm, I have a very short time-frame for implementation here and > putting > >together > >another release of gcc isn't a really good short-term option, has > anyone out > >there > >setup print queue's in LPRng to talk to Hylafax ??
