I'd have to script it up to give you an exact procedure, but the idea would be to see what you could accomplish by foolin' around with actually altering the 'npages' value in the sendq file.


I'm not entirely against developing a new feature to accomplish this, but right now I'm not motivated to do it. Fax protocol works on a page-by-page basis. Confirmations are received page-by-page. If you have a need that requires an all-or-nothing approach to a fax, then I would suggest that you submit faxes with the maximum number of "tries" or "attempts" (ntries, as opposed to "ndials") as 1... then let your middleware resubmit the fax job again the desired number of times.

That said, if you're sending me a 100-page fax and it fails on page 99 ... and then you send me those 99 pages again only to send me the last one after that... I'd be pretty irked for tying up my phone line for that extra hour or so.
