I don't know.  That's what we're trying to determine.  It seems to have 
something to do with permissions and the related MIMEConverter scripts.

Probably /usr/local/lib/fax/faxmail/application/pdf and 
/usr/local/lib/fax/faxmail/text/html ... if you installed from source.  
If you installed from Sourceforge RPMs then /etc/hylafax/faxmail/...
