Can you show us the log from the receiver in this scenario? The one you had configured with RingsBeforeAnswer to be 2?

Here's the logs as requested.  I had to change the phone number to a fake one though.  Note that I dial 8 to go to outside line as illustrated at the ATDT8 command.

Changing the RingsBeforeAnswer from 1 to 2 will not work.  Faxes were not being received.  When I sent a fax to myself, the error was "no carrier detected".
