Re: [hylafax-users] Modem stop responding

Hi,

The problem has just happened : The modem does not answer any more
All the processes (faxq, hfaxd and faxgetty) were running and I kill faxgetty.

I restart faxgetty with >> /usr/sbin/faxgetty -D /dev/ttyS0

And now the modem is responding (until the next time)
What can I do ?

Thanks

The next time it happens restart faxgetty. If that doesn't resolve it then you know the problem is either with the serial port or with the modem. Since you have an external modem power-off the modem and then power it back on, then restart faxgetty. If that resolves it then you know the problem is with the modem.

Thanks,

Lee.
