HylaFAX The world's most advanced open source fax server |
Hey Folks, I am running a hylafax debian server for a friend, that gets his faxes through iaxmodem/asterisk/faxgetty and it works pretty well. I can send im faxes without any problem from my fax machine. And others can too. But then there are those that can't and I can't figure out why the hell sometimes it just doesn't work. Those people send out faxes to other machines and it works fine, so I don't think it's a problem on their end, I suppose it might be a compatibilty issue. The only thing I can provide is a log of a working transmission and one of an aborted one. If you need anything more just let me know and I will add those informations, too. Here is the one that works (I shortened the recieving part): Sep 14 14:37:48.24: [21411]: SESSION BEGIN 000000120 NUMBERHERE Sep 14 14:37:48.24: [21411]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.4.4 Sep 14 14:37:48.24: [21411]: CallID: "NUMBERHERE" "" "<NONE>" "s" Sep 14 14:37:48.24: [21411]: <-- [4:ATA\r] Sep 14 14:37:51.96: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:37:51.96: [21411]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION DEVICE '/dev/ttyIAX0' Sep 14 14:37:51.96: [21411]: RECV FAX: begin Sep 14 14:37:51.96: [21411]: <-- data [32] Sep 14 14:37:51.96: [21411]: <-- data [2] Sep 14 14:37:52.92: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:37:52.92: [21411]: <-- data [23] Sep 14 14:37:52.92: [21411]: <-- data [2] Sep 14 14:37:53.66: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:37:53.66: [21411]: <-- data [13] Sep 14 14:37:53.66: [21411]: <-- data [2] Sep 14 14:37:54.24: [21411]: --> [2:OK] Sep 14 14:37:54.24: [21411]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Sep 14 14:37:54.46: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:37:56.05: [21411]: --> [2:OK] Sep 14 14:37:56.05: [21411]: REMOTE TSI "NUMBERHERE" Sep 14 14:37:56.05: [21411]: RECV recv TSI (sender id) Sep 14 14:37:56.05: [21411]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Sep 14 14:37:56.50: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:37:56.56: [21411]: --> [2:OK] Sep 14 14:37:56.56: [21411]: REMOTE wants 9600 bit/s Sep 14 14:37:56.56: [21411]: REMOTE wants A4 page width (215 mm) Sep 14 14:37:56.56: [21411]: REMOTE wants unlimited page length Sep 14 14:37:56.56: [21411]: REMOTE wants 7.7 line/mm Sep 14 14:37:56.56: [21411]: REMOTE wants 1-D MH Sep 14 14:37:56.56: [21411]: REMOTE wants T.30 Annex A, 256-byte ECM Sep 14 14:37:56.56: [21411]: RECV recv DCS (command signal) Sep 14 14:37:56.56: [21411]: RECV training at v.29 9600 bit/s Sep 14 14:37:56.56: [21411]: <-- [10:AT+FRM=96\r] Sep 14 14:37:56.88: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:37:58.38: [21411]: RECV: TCF 1810 bytes, 1% non-zero, 1774 zero-run Sep 14 14:37:58.38: [21411]: --> [10:NO CARRIER] Sep 14 14:37:58.38: [21411]: <-- [9:AT+FRS=7\r] Sep 14 14:37:58.44: [21411]: --> [2:OK] Sep 14 14:37:58.44: [21411]: TRAINING succeeded Sep 14 14:37:58.44: [21411]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r] Sep 14 14:37:58.46: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:37:58.46: [21411]: <-- data [3] Sep 14 14:37:58.46: [21411]: <-- data [2] Sep 14 14:37:59.54: [21411]: --> [2:OK] Sep 14 14:37:59.54: [21411]: <-- [10:AT+FRM=96\r] Sep 14 14:38:00.32: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:38:00.94: [21411]: RECV received frame number 0 [...] Sep 14 14:38:14.63: [21411]: RECV received frame number 63 Sep 14 14:38:14.63: [21411]: RECV received RCP frame Sep 14 14:38:14.63: [21411]: --> [10:NO CARRIER] Sep 14 14:38:14.63: [21411]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Sep 14 14:38:14.83: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:38:16.07: [21411]: --> [2:OK] Sep 14 14:38:16.07: [21411]: RECV recv PPS (partial page signal) Sep 14 14:38:16.07: [21411]: RECV recv EOP (no more pages or documents) Sep 14 14:38:16.07: [21411]: RECV received 64 frames of block 1 of page 1 Sep 14 14:38:16.12: [21411]: RECV: 16271 bytes of data, 2355 total lines Sep 14 14:38:16.12: [21411]: <-- [9:AT+FRS=7\r] Sep 14 14:38:16.13: [21411]: --> [2:OK] Sep 14 14:38:16.13: [21411]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r] Sep 14 14:38:16.15: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:38:16.15: [21411]: <-- data [3] Sep 14 14:38:16.15: [21411]: <-- data [2] Sep 14 14:38:17.23: [21411]: --> [2:OK] Sep 14 14:38:17.23: [21411]: RECV send MCF (message confirmation) Sep 14 14:38:17.23: [21411]: RECV FAX (000000120): from NUMBERHERE, page 1 in 0:25, INF, 7.7 line/mm, 1-D MH, 9600 bit/s Sep 14 14:38:17.23: [21411]: RECV FAX (000000120): recvq/fax000000051.tif from NUMBERHERE, route to <unspecified>, 1 pages in 0:26 Sep 14 14:38:17.23: [21411]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Sep 14 14:38:17.45: [21411]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:38:18.61: [21411]: --> [2:OK] Sep 14 14:38:18.61: [21411]: RECV recv DCN (disconnect) Sep 14 14:38:18.61: [21411]: RECV FAX: bin/faxrcvd "recvq/fax000000051.tif" "ttyIAX0" "000000120" "" "NUMBERHERE" "" "<NONE>" "s" Sep 14 14:38:18.61: [21411]: RECV FAX: end Sep 14 14:38:18.61: [21411]: SESSION END And here's the one that just won't work: Sep 14 14:19:42.70: [22288]: SESSION BEGIN 000000119 NUMBERHERE Sep 14 14:19:42.72: [22288]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.4.4 Sep 14 14:19:42.72: [22288]: CallID: "NUMBERHERE" "" "<NONE>" "s" Sep 14 14:19:42.73: [22288]: <-- [4:ATA\r] Sep 14 14:19:46.46: [22288]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:19:46.46: [22288]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION DEVICE '/dev/ttyIAX0' Sep 14 14:19:46.46: [22288]: RECV FAX: begin Sep 14 14:19:46.47: [22288]: <-- data [32] Sep 14 14:19:46.47: [22288]: <-- data [2] Sep 14 14:19:47.38: [22288]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 14 14:19:47.38: [22288]: <-- data [23] Sep 14 14:19:47.38: [22288]: <-- data [2] Sep 14 14:19:47.41: [22288]: --> [10:NO CARRIER] Sep 14 14:19:47.41: [22288]: MODEM No carrier Sep 14 14:19:47.41: [22288]: <-- [9:AT+FRS=7\r] Sep 14 14:19:47.41: [22288]: --> [5:ERROR] Sep 14 14:19:47.41: [22288]: MODEM Command error Sep 14 14:19:47.41: [22288]: Failure to receive silence (synchronization failure). I hope it's no problem that I removed the numbers, but I checked, they don't differ in formatting, so I don't think it's that in any way. Would really appreciate your help since I don't have any idea where to look for the error or what to do. Thanks in advance. |
