I use gpg in my faxrcvd script, and it needs to reference the .gnupg folder and some files in it. I was able to make this work by copying the appropriate folder (and chown uucp / chmod 700) to the root directory '/.gnupg/' because the environment that uucp runs in had '/' as its home directory. Another option would be to pass the configuration file on the command line to the program. Im not familiar with nail, but most have an option similar to /bin/program -c '/path/to/config.file' This was on RHEL4, and may be similar for you. Also, most sendmail replacements have a script that take sendmail style submits and converts them to the program, for compatibility. Postfix for example includes a sendmail.postfix that can be linked to 'sendmail' and just takes the sendmail arguments and reformats them for postfix. -Siri Vias -----Original Message----- From: hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of marin blu Sent: Monday, November 10, 2008 11:29 PM To: hylafax-users@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [hylafax-users] problem with faxrcvd Hi, I changed faxrcvd under /var/spool/hylafax/bin in order to replace sendmail with nail. The problem is that from command prompt us root we can run the script properly, but when the script is running from hylafax server we never receive the mail ? Is this a problem with .mailrc/.msmtprc files and permissions for uucp user or anything else ? (we installed hylafax on Ubuntu 7.10 and we can send/receive proper fax as tif or pdf) Thanks, Marin ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx* ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx*
