I'm having an issue with the way sendfax converts ASCII to PS on different OS's, and I can't figure it out, I have a linux server running hylafax and if I send a fax within linux, I get a clean fax, so then I installed hylafax for SCO on another server so that I can use send faxes using sco's sendfax as a client through the linux server, the issue is that when I ran sendfax on SCO box, the ps is coming out different than the one generated by linux (when I compare the same ascii file).

this is what I run on linux server (192.168.2.90) :

/# cal 2008 | sendfax -m -n -d {number}

output : http://12.9.192.78/linux.jpg

this is what I run on the SCO box

/usr2/test> cal 2008 | sendfax -m -n -h modemgroup@xxxxxxxxxxxx -d {number}

output : http://12.9.192.78/sco.jpg

What could be wrong ? I'm pulling my hair out!

You keep wondering about the hylafax and ghostscript binaries, but you haven't told us about 'cal' outputs on the two machines. Are they identical?

yes I transfered the output from the OSR507 box to the linux (i.e. /# cal 2008 > test2008 ;scp test2008 root@xxxxxxxxxxxx:/test2008) so I'm faxing the same file
