Re: [hylafax-users] Errors Sending To Some Faxes

Hi Alex,

V.34 (33,600bps) is the fastest speed you can obtain with a analog
connection (V.9x actually uses half of a digital connection).

That worked nicely. Now here's the followup question: since this is a
56K modem, and since sendfax will use the fastest speed supported by
both the sender and receiver, why am I seeing a remote "best rate" of
33600 bits/s and an actual send of 14400 bits/s? My command line is:

sendfax -n -f "alex@xxxxxxxxxxxx" -R -D -G -s letter -d *7014439999999
~/test.pdf

(sending a test page to a modem I have access to, so I can ensure that
things work right)

the log shows:

This is, of course, less of an issue than faxes failing
altogether...but it would be nice to be able to get the full speed of
my modem.
