[hylafax-users] restarting services

I'm running hylafax 4.1.1 on FreeBSD-4.5-RELEASE

whenever the machine restarts, I usually have to restart services two or 
three times before the system is back to operation
afterwards it works for days on end

I think this is a freeBSD issue - Never happened with Debian
I installed with pkg_add -r

Any ideas as to how I should be starting services?
