But the call to notify only gives me the doneq entry - which does
not necessarilty correspond to the docq entry. Is there a way I
can get the docq filename from the successful send - besides
parsing the doneq file?
No, but that should be easy with the parseQfile function found in
common-functions. See an example...
http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/man/jobcontrol.php
I must be an idiot - while I do see the example, I don't see how to
use it to obtain the file information I need. I call parseQfile
after setting QFILE to a value (for this test, "q52" which is a valid
doneq filename. I'm not seeing any new variables created by
executing, "echo `set`" after the parseQfile call.
For this particular doneq file, I need the values for the coverpage
and the attachment pages (cover52.cover and doc74.pdf, respectively).
What am I doing wrong?
I think you're using a hylafax.org release and not HylaFAX+... so the
URL I provided is slightly inaccurate. Look at 'man jobcontrol' on
your system to note any differences. If you still can't get it
working from there, then I'd suggest switching to HylaFAX+ so that the
information I'd provide you is correct for your installation.
Thanks,
Lee.
I AM using Hylafax+...at least I THINK I am! Version 5.4.2.
man jobcontrol doesn't give me any additional information. It may be a
bash programming issue that I'm running into.
As I said - I execute the parseQfile function - but I don't see anything
happen as a result. The example shows a couple variables created
($number, $owner, $totries) - but does not list ALL the possible
variables, in particular the ones I need. I also do not see that those
variables in fact get created - unless of course I'm doing something wrong.
