Re: [hylafax-users] Timeout when sending large files

One of our locations using Hylafax tried sending a 100 page fax.
Because of the long time transferring the 100 pages, some other faxes
returnes a Kill time expired.
It did exactly what it was supposed to do, then. The killtime is there
to notify the user who submitted it that the fax is not making it out in
the expected period of time... thus enabling the user to either contact
the administrator to figure out what is going on or to send the fax in
some other way.
Thus, one should consider the killtime to be represent the urgency of
the fax to be sent.
Is there a way to control the kill time and extend it?
So, it sounds like the urgency of your faxes and the killtime are not in
agreement. Thus, you should submit the faxes with a different
killtime. This will depend on the client program you are using. Please
consult the manual for that program to know how to adjust killtime.
Thanks,
Lee.
