before even reading the link, my suggestion was to downgrade a version. After reading the link, that is what the other person did. I downgrading possible in your situation?
But I agree the problem should be fixed...apologies that I don't know what the cause it.
Does it seem to be a LInux distro /version related issue? On Sun, May 16, 2010 at 2:24 PM, Eliran Itzhak <elirani@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Hello again. I found someone else with the same problem, having PPM repeated errors after upgrading Hylafax. http://www.hylafax.org/archive/2008-01/msg00451.php
Is there any chance that the problem can be fixed by software changes ?
Thanks,

By the way, being that Class 1 relies on the software to handle processing, does it indicate the PPS problem could be solved by Software ?
I haven't got another fax software to try with, but it would be interesting to test.
Thanks.2010/5/16 Eliran Itzhak <elirani@xxxxxxxxx>Hello everyone.
I'm using USR modems, and mainly happy with the setup, But I get "No response to PPS repeated 3 times" with some of the numbers I'm trying to send a fax to.
Seems like a common problem with Hylafax and USR modems, and searching and following 3 result pages with google, I wasn't able to make it better.
Nothing new until here :-)
What I just found out is that i WAS able to send a fax to some of these number before I upgraded to hylafax-5.1.8-1.i386. The version I was using before the upgrade might have been hylafax-5.1.8-1fc4.i386.rpm
Anyway, I've made some tests today, and looked at my logs, Numbers I used to send a fax to are now giving me "No response to PPS repeated 3 times".
I would appreciate if someone could shed some light to the problem, and maybe even suggest a workaround /fix to this problem.
Warm regards,
Eliran.
