Darren,

HylaFAX didn't "Rewrite" that, in fact, it's still in
$SPOOL/bin/pdf2fax and ps2fax like it's always been.  You you can just
add the relevant tiffcp info directly in there instad of indrectly in
common-functions.

Another possible workaround is to put "Use2D: false" in the faxq config.
This will make faxq tell GS to prepare it in 1D-MH, and then faxsend
will just convert to the required format as normal.
