The user would have to wait until the call is answered and then dial the 
"0002" or "0003"... and they'd need to do it in good time, too.  Some 
may not ever hear rings, and so it may be very problematic.

Search the mail archives for SHIELDED_DTMF.  In particular have a look 
for it in the hylafax-config man page:
