Re: [hylafax-users] Asterisk->t38modem(+opal)->Hylafax

thanks for your reply,
ok I started t38modem, to route calls over the gw, but that's not what you meant?
I have problems understanding how to set username for t38modem, so to which number to fax to.
Where do I set these things, as Asterisk can only pass through? I thought configuration would be similar to the one with IAXModem.

2008/7/21 Miletic Ivona <ivona_miletic@xxxxxxxxx>:
Hi,

I managed to send faxes to: Hylafax->t38modem(opal with SIP)->Asterisk --> to a Grandstream GXW4008 GW, registered as SIP client.
But I wonder now how to receive incoming faxes with t38modem Hylafax.
I could have some fax extensions for Hylafax, knowing that receiving faxes from trunk x (with a provider speaking T38) to extension y is designed for t38modem and Hylafax. Otherwise let IAXModem do it. With IAXModem it's a IAX-Client, registered on Asterisk and forwarding the fax to IAXModem and Hylafax, but how to forward to t38modem?

thx in advance!
Ivona

T38modem is like a SIP client and listens  SIP port (default 5060). So you must register T38modem peer with your gw and that's all.
