In your syslog you should find lines like:
Apr 24 10:28:25 centrum FaxGetty[16672]: RECV FAX: bin/faxrcvd "recvq/fax000000048.tif" "ttyS0" "000000074" ""

this means that hylafax received the fax and tries to deliver it.
You may cd to /var/spool/hylafax and execute the same command again,
looking for any displayed errors, or looking for error in the MTA log.
