What kind of modem are you using?
There may be some noise on the line, yes... but it seems odd since
there was no ambient noise at other times during the same call.
Thanks,
Lee.
We are using MultiTech MT5634ZBA modems. We've never had a problem
with the modems working with HylaFax before but maybe this particular
modem (which does all of our outgoing faxes) might be starting to have
problems?
Are these lines coming through a PBX? Or are they straight from the
telco? If they're from the telco then maybe have the telco check them.
(?)
Thanks,
Lee.
The lines are coming straight from the telco. They came out on Friday
to investigate the problem and he said that it is most likely a problem
with the wiring in the office cause the signal is strong and clear
coming from the telephone lines into the building. Once in the
building there appears to be noise. I am going to have our telephone
wiring guy come in and have a look but I find it strange that this
'noise' seems to have come out of the blue and that's why I wanted to
check to see if these errors are hardware related or something else.
