I've always just built RPMs from the SRPM on CentOS.  However, it is my 
understanding that CentOS is binary-compatible with RHEL, and thus there 
most likely is a flavor of Fedora/Fedora Core that is also 
binary-compatible with CentOS 5.

I would be surprised if the RedHat 9 RPMs on the Sourceforge site do not 
work for you.
