I'm not sure if this message made it to the list yet.  My apologies if its a duplicate.

Unfortunately, I don't think raising my ServerTracing to 0xFFF has produced
any new information.  What else can I do to get more information on this
problem?  The problem appears to be after the tiff2fax script is executed, but I'm not sure of how to get output from it.  I've tried putting -x in the #!/bin/sh line, but apparently its called from one of the daemons and who knows  where that output/err goes? My new /var/log/messages output follows:

No the ; is just fine - but depending on the shell youre using, you'll
proably have to "quote" it, or escape it.  The simplest way is just put
"quote" marks around the fielname argurments.

The exit status 0xb implies that the "script" tiff2fax crashed with a
segfault.  But that shouldn't happen, the script is pretty careful to
catch exits of the program it runs, and only exits with known values.

What version of HylaFAX are you using?

That's because your ubuntu machine is acutally successfully converting
the document.  The ! is a marker HylaFAX uses internally to mark
documents as converted or not.
