The link provides an interesting solution. I really don't know much about bash scripting but I think I understand what it does. But reading the script does help explain what is happening. So thanks very much. I still wonder what was going wrong with me attempting to remove the first sheet. I think I added all the parameters that were required like '-n', 'AutoCoverPage: no', I even was able to remove the headers (Headers: clear).
