I don't know what the problem actually is as there's not enough logging available in the client to tell me anything.

Can I turn on server tracing to some insane level to try to track down what its doing?

Its definitely "new" behavior and not in the good sort of way; it worked fine before I upgraded the server to the latest release.

You can turn up hfaxd logging in hfaxd.conf "ServerTracing".

Check the permissions on your hosts.hfaxd file. Make sure you don't have a little "*" ;-)

There will come a day when I will give up on Windows. I turned on trading - it magically started working. God knows why.

Amazing how Microsoft's software can mutate itself........

I'll get a trade if it acts up again....
