Aidan's fix is in HylaFAX+ 5.1.4 (http://hylafax.sourceforge.net).  Now, 
I've not used 4.4 CVS from hylafax.org, but I expect that you'll find 
HylaFAX+ to be much more stable than 4.4, since I use it quite heavily 
in production.
