Re: [hylafax-users] Patton.com 2977 padm drivers on Linux 2.6

i am trying to install the patton.com <http://patton.com> Model 2977 padm drivers on a very shrunk down minimally installed Linux 2.6 CentOS machine. The fact that it does not have XWindows is just the beginning - it is a 266MhZ machine.

After getting the kernel source installed and matching the current kernel. Installing some other dependencies, it gets further than before. However, when i get as far in the new release notes as seen below, i am stuck. I am guessing it may be a problem with the Makefile deleting files before they are fully used. Anybody get past this point?

"rpmbuild –ba /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/padm-common.spec –target $arch"

I have always found it easier to build and install padm from source than trying to go the RPM route.
