The MT5634ZPX shouldn't behave like this reproducibly.  The latest 
firmware that MultiTech has for this modem on their website is 1.32K - 
2.32U seems odd to me, but maybe they're shipping them with a new 
firmware.  I'd suggest to try 1.32K or contacting MultiTech.
