Having problems receiving faxes - standard configuration version 4.3.0 (gentoo). Would anyone have a clue WHERE to start looking for a fix. The tif file looks good.

I would suggest using Class 1 instead, if it is available to you.

+FHNG: 101 literally translates into "RSPREC invalid response received". Due to the way that Class 2 works it's impossible from this to determine *what* exactly the response was coming from the sender. It's probably benign... like the sender sent DCN instead of EOP... but we can't know for sure because Class 2 hides that from us.

Lee.
Problem solved by a lovely little utility called setserial. I am using a PCI 2 port serial card and the UART and base_baud was wrong. Set it to 16550A and 155200.

Works with both class1 and class2. BTY, the USB to serial converters work as well!

Thanks for all your help Lee!

Vernon
