Hi

Good day,

I have installed tiff-3.7.4-sol9-sparc-local & hylafax-4.3.1.tar, still i get the same error. I have installed hylafax on ES RedHat Linux and its working fine without any problem. but on solaris its giving me Missing tiff error.

 

I have tried with solaris package HylaFAX-4.1.2-sparc.pkg & HylaFAX-4.1.3-sparc.pkg too, at the end of the installation i get error

 

pkgadd: ERROR: unable to create symbloic link from </var/sadm/pkg/HylaFAX/predepend> to </usr/options/HylaFAX.name>

 

Installation of <HylaFAX> partially failed.

 

If i try to start the hylfax daemon i get below error.

 

/etc/init.d/hylafax start
HylaFAX:ld.so.1: faxq: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such file or directory
Killed
 faxqld.so.1: hfaxd: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such file or directory
Killed
 hfaxd (without old protocol & without SNPP support).

after configuring the modem if i try to use the sendfax command i get the below error.

 

bash-2.05# sendfax -n -d 25222884 /var/spool/hylafax/sairam.txt
ld.so.1: sendfax: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such file or directory
Killed

Since you use Solaris 9, you may probably install
tiff-3.7.4-sol9-sparc-local and then configure hylafax 4.3.1 (released
today) specifying that your tiff library in installed in /usr/local
