Could you kindly help to solve Missing Tiff Library issue.

following are the details.

 

Sun OS 5.9 Generic_118558-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V240

 

bash-2.05# echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/usr/local/lib

bash-2.05# echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/usr/local/lib
bash-2.05# pkginfo -l SMCtiff
   PKGINST:  SMCtiff
      NAME:  tiff
  CATEGORY:  application
      ARCH:  sparc
   VERSION:  3.7.4
   BASEDIR:  /usr/local
    bash-2.05# pkginfo -l SMCgcc
   PKGINST:  SMCgcc
      NAME:  gcc
  CATEGORY:  application
      ARCH:  sparc
   VERSION:  3.3.2
   BASEDIR:  /usr/local

Tried with all these versions of HylaFax  hylafax-4.3.1.tar,hylafax-4.3.0.tar ,hylafax-4.1.7.tar

with many options i tried installing but still same problem . Kindly help me to solve this issue.

./configure --with-LIBTIFF="-ltiff -ljpeg -lz"

 ./configure --enable-rpath --prefix=/usr/local/include --enable-shared --libdir=/usr/local/lib
./configure --with-DIR_BIN=/usr/local/bin --with-DIR_SBIN=/usr/local/sbin --with-DIR_LIBDATA=/usr/local/lib/fax --with-DIR_LIB=/usr/local/lib --with-DIR_SPOOL=/var/spool/hylafax --with-DIR_HTML=/var/httpd/htdocs/hylafax --with-DIR_CGI=/var/httpd/cgi-bin --with-PATH_IMPRIP=/usr/lib/print/psrip --with-HTMLPATH=/hylafax --with-CGIPATH=/cgi-bin --with-DSO=auto --with-PORT=auto --with-LIBMALLOC=auto --with-LIBTIFF="-L/usr/local/lib -ltiff" --with-TIFFINC=/usr/local/include --with-TIFFBIN=/usr/local/bin --with-DBLIB=no --with-LIBDB="-L/usr/local/lib -ldb" --with-DBLIBINC=/usr/local/include

here  i get error to user higher version of tiff. the options are tried for lower version of tiff

./configure  --with-jpeg-include-dir=/opt/sfw/include  --with-jpeg-lib-dir=/opt/sfw/lib

 ./configure --with-DIR_BIN=/usr/local/bin --with-DIR_LIB=/usr/sfw/lib --with-DIR_LIBEXEC=/usr/sfw/libexe --with-LIBDIR=/usr/sfw/libexe --with-TIFFBIN=/usr/local/bin --with-LIBTIFF="-ltiff -ljpeg -lz" --with-AWK=/usr/bin/gawk --with-PATH_VGETTY=/sbin/vgetty --with-PATH_GETTY=/sbin/mgetty /

Since you use Solaris 9, you may probably install
tiff-3.7.4-sol9-sparc-local and then configure hylafax 4.3.1 (released
today) specifying that your tiff library in installed in /usr/local
