AFAIK WHFC does have OLE automation support.

there is another solution which starts a process on the server
side, this process calls back to where your client run and
asks for the fax job data. Called something with printfax...

I used it for some time and run into problems because of some
TCP issues. If you want to use this solution let me know and
i will explain the details.
