*sigh*. There is a *REASON* Mitch Kapor left Lotus, got into politics,
and now uses Excel.

What exactly are the available "lotus smart suite formats"? If it's
possible to output them in a very standard format, like Postscript,
GIF, TIFF, etc., it should be possible to teach ghostscript and
HylaFAX how to convert them. If not, then good luck.

But since tools like Lotus and Microsoft Office use actually fairly
complicated data formats, they also run them through a printer driver
before actually printing out their stuff. It should be quite simple to
install a HylaFAX capable printing tool like "WHFC" and let them print
to the fax spool directly using their machine's own print drivers, and
even let them view faxes on the received spool.
