Hi again. I'm running HylaFax 4.0 on freebsd with a ZOOM K56. I've hooked up this modem and have started working with getting it to work. In hand tests it seems to do adaptive answer BUT for data mode I need to have the following occur: 1) modem says "RING" 2) send command "ATA" 3) modem says "DATA" 4) send command "ATO" 5) modem says "CONNECT xxxx" The key is to send ATO. And I can do this by setting "ModemAnswerDataBeginCmd: ATO". But it leads to the following: Oct 17 13:31:18.82: [10132]: SESSION BEGIN 00000138 12063027261 Oct 17 13:31:18.82: [10132]: <-- [4:ATA\r] Oct 17 13:31:39.20: [10132]: --> [4:DATA] Oct 17 13:31:39.20: [10132]: <-- [4:ATO\r] Oct 17 13:31:40.33: [10132]: --> [14:CONNECT 115200] Oct 17 13:32:10.34: [10132]: MODEM TIMEOUT: reading line from modem Oct 17 13:32:10.34: [10132]: MODEM <Timeout> Oct 17 13:32:10.35: [10132]: ANSWER: DATA CONNECTION Oct 17 13:32:10.35: [10132]: GETTY: START "/usr/libexec/getty std.115200", pid 10136 Oct 17 13:32:10 raindrop FaxGetty[10132]: ANSWER: DATA CONNECTION Oct 17 13:32:10 raindrop FaxGetty[10132]: GETTY: START "/usr/libexec/getty std.1 The modem seems to miss the "CONNECT" message. Then it times out after 30 seconds and starts getty. So this works but I would like to eliminate the delay.
