Yes, there is.  I am sorry that I cannot find the reference at the
moment, but in July last year, Sun announced that it would soon
release a patch that would fix this problem.  I watched for it for a
few weeks, during which it didn't appear, and then I got other
business to tend to.

I think your local Sun Service will be able to help you.
