Can you do me a favour? Can you remove all traces of HylaFAX from your machine, and install the following RPM:

ftp://ftp.hylafax.org/hylafax/hylafax-4.1/binary/linux/redhat/RPMS/i386/hylafax-4.1beta1-1rh6.i386.rpm

and let me know if you can reproduce the problem?

Also, what version of libtiff do you have installed?
