Andras,
I compared your modem config with mine, and it looks like the main difference is that you have:
RecvDataFormat: "2-D MMR"
From the description, it looks like this affects the format of the received fax, but I don't know if this has more to do with storing the TIFF or with how the protocol receives it. Did you add this from troubleshooting a problem (failure rates like mine)? How did you come across this option?
Many thanks. -Emo

(I'm using CentOS 5.2, related to RedHat Enterprise linux.) I'm out of serial ports, so I need USB. I've used MultiTech MT5634ZBA-v.92-USB modems under both Class 1 and Class 2, but they have high failure rates (10% - 20%). The suggested modems on HylaFAX's web site are really outdated.
Is anyone out there having really great success with a modern USB modem on linux? I need something rock-solid. Please let me know!
Many thanks. :) -- Emo Mosley IT Department Jaeger + Haines, Inc. 479-521-2551
