Subject: [hylafax-users] USB modem suggestions for linux
Can anyone suggest a really good USB modem for linux? (I'm using CentOS 5.2,
related to RedHat Enterprise linux.) I'm out of serial ports, so I need USB.
I've used MultiTech MT5634ZBA-v.92-USB modems under both Class 1 and Class
2, but they have high failure rates (10% - 20%). The suggested modems on
HylaFAX's web site are really outdated.
Is anyone out there having really great success with a modern USB modem on
linux? I need something rock-solid. Please let me know!
Many thanks. :)
