The phone company *ignore* digits that have been dialled after the phone 
number.

However, you *can* trap DTMF digits dialled after the phone is answered; but 
not with Hylafax, which is for faxing, and not with your modem, which doesn't 
understand DTMF tones.

You will need to use Asterisk  (or something else; but Asterisk is the most 
popular solution and it's Open Source)  to answer the phone.  You can then 
set up an Integrated Voice Response system  (one of those awful "Press 1 for 
sales, 2 for accounts, 3 for enquiries" things.)  There are plenty of 
examples online -- search for "Asterisk IVR".
