Re: [hylafax-users] HELP BUILDING FAX SERVER

Same plan would still work.  Your NBX must have dialplan rules pointing inbound fax DID numbers to the channel extensions of the NBXàhylafax T1 card which in turn should be able to be attached to the T1 card in the hylafax box.  As long as the NBX has not been tampered with all of those dialplan rules are probably still in place otherwise I would be glad to work with you offline to work through that.

Hi, thanks for the response, let me explain a little better, I’m not a “3com PBX certified technician”, neither I have work with hylafax in the past, that’s why I’ looking for this information,  I start working in old company in the network admin seat, the administration of the 3com NBX was not part of my duties,  right now In the new company I have others  responsabilites, (network admin, server admin),  now we have another goal for the new company because we are part of a group of Companies.

That’s why I want to try to setup the same we have before, so we can provide service for the others companies.

The old setup is as you say:

2 T1’s one for Voice and 1 for fax

T1 -1 -à 3COM

T1 -2-à Hylafax box

I ask the old Boss and he says the T1 card in the old Hylafax Box was a simply T1 Card, that’s why I ask if the following model can work for me, it’s very cheap te110p.

Thanks for the response, and sorry for my bad English.

Greetings from Dominican Republic.

Being a hylafax user and a 3com pbx certified technician this combination leaves me a bit stumped.  Which 3com PBX do you have, the NBX of VCX?  Neither of them really have T1 pass-thru capabilities directly.  Do you have 2 T1’s one for Voice and 1 for fax?  Then this makes sense.

T1 -1 -à 3COM

T1 -2-à Hylafax box

Otherwise there would need to be some other channel bank type device before the pbx and hylafax to split the T1 into channels for each to use.

Hi, it’s my first time using a mail list, I want to setup a hylafax server with a T1 card for use with our existing T1 VOICE LINE.

In the past we have the following setup:  T1 LINE  =è 3COM PBX =è HYLAFAX SERVER.

The company divided and the old BOSS tock the old Hylafax server, now I want to build the same setup because it was working great.

I need your help to identify what components I need, Hardware and Software, I new in the linux world but I know I can do it whit the correct advice.

I was checking the followind T1 CARD te110p I don’t now If I can user this card.

Well,  thanks for all.

Waiting for your response.
