Re: [hylafax-users] Faxes appear to send, but receiver never gets a printout.

Lee

The problem occurs with more than one receiver. Seems the problem is with the sender. Another site with the same version of HylaFAX works with the same receiver. It is running RHEL5.5 with ghostscript 8.15.2-9.12.el5_5.
Maybe I should try upgrading ghostscript.

John,

Firstly, the receiver has confirmed page receipt with the MCF signal.
So if the receiver is not printing-out anything at all then it (the
receiver) has signaled MCF in error and there is at least a serious bug
in the receiver's programming.

That said... you're only sending 16 frames. This is a relatively small
set of fax data. I'm slightly concerned that maybe you're bumping into
a job-data preparation problem with Ghostscript 8.71. Furthermore,
you're using HylaFAX+ 5.2.9, and while that was a solid release which
many people still use, and while I cannot pinpoint any change since
5.2.9 which could account for a bug in 5.2.9 that has since been
fixed... I would suggest that you first try to reproduce the problem
with HylaFAX+ 5.4.3.

Lastly, please comment on whether or not this problem is unique to this
receiver or whether this happens with all receivers.

Thanks,

Lee.
