You can build your own .deb file using the provided tools:

However, you're going to need to read the README file and understand a bit of what's going on in there.

Alternatively, if you do want to switch distros to an RPM-based one (instead of DEB), you're certainly welcome to download the SRPM:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/hylafax/files/hylafax%20SRPM/

And then build the RPM as you choose with 'rpm --rebuild'.

And, of course, you can always just install from source code.
