Just to make sure I'm explaining as well as I can, basically, I want to build a centos system which has iaxmodems, hylafax and avantfax on it, without an asterisk server on it. I have only ever installed an asterisk server, then the others on top of that.

Not sure why, maybe it's because I've never confirmed that I don't need to have an asterisk server or perhaps because usually, on the asterisk side, I can easily create my iaxmodems so never gave it another thought.
