A simple check of a source PDF document against Ghostscript is to use 
the pdf2ps tool from the command-line.

pdf2ps source.pdf > out.ps

If this segfaults or crashes then you'll want to do the same test with 
an earlier version of Ghostscript and probably then report your results 
to the Ghostscript bugzilla.
