Re: [hylafax-users] Receiving corrupted faxes.



We tried with different Modems without success.

We tried with a standard fax machine also, instead of hylafax as receiver. Not many times to be fair, but on an attempt normal fax machine received 5 pages fax fine, hylafax received 2 of 5 pages fine.

We have Fastweb as provider, an Italian Internet provider that uses our ISDN 30 lines Primary and digitalize flow with CISCO router (not properly VoIP but some type of digitalization takes place…).

We gave up.  It would seem that the audio quality on the line was too poor for the audio to get through correctly in this case.

Since you're seeing 15-20% error rate it would seem to me that the problem is on your end.  Are you using VoIP lines?  Have you had your phone lines checked?  Have you tried a different type of modem?
