Thanks Lee, I've encountered a dependency error below. However, it appears I have the second package in question. Not sure if it's the same or not. Any suggestions?

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of hylafax:
 hylafax depends on sharutils; however:
  Package sharutils is not installed.
 hylafax depends on libldap2; however:
  Package libldap2 is not installed.

dpkg --get-selections | grep ldap
libldap-2.4-2                    install

Remove the hylafax-client package manually.  The hylafax_5.3.0-1_i386.deb includes the client programs.
