Maybe it is just an openSUSE issue then, but when I start hylafax, it
fails to start the client listener:
--<snip>--
getafix:~ # rchylafax start
Starting service HylaFAX failed
getafix:~ # rchylafax status
Checking for service HylaFAX: HylaFAX queue manager process: running
HylaFAX client-server protocol server: unused
--<snip>--
And in the log:
--<snip>--
Aug 10 22:34:18 getafix FaxQueuer[1955]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 6.0.4
Aug 10 22:34:18 getafix FaxQueuer[1955]: Copyright (c) 1990-1996 Sam
Leffler
Aug 10 22:34:18 getafix FaxQueuer[1955]: Copyright (c) 1991-1996 Silicon
Graphics, Inc.
Aug 10 22:34:18 getafix HylaFAX[1959]: No support for old protocol
--<snip>--
On the old hylafax 4.4 system, it starts and it listens on the following
ports:
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:4557 0.0.0.0:*
LISTEN 10781/hfaxd
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:4559 0.0.0.0:*
LISTEN 10781/hfaxd
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:444 0.0.0.0:*
LISTEN 10781/hfaxd
On the new 6.0.4 system, there is nothing listening.
Any idea why?
