Re: [hylafax-users] fax2mail

Did you try to configure your email client in plaintext mode ? When you use HTML mode, the email client send  your content both in plaintext and HTML for backward-compatibilty with older client. So faxmail try to convert both of them and one is maybe detected as non-empty. You should try plaintext only... just for debugging

I've no more idea ...I have no blank page with the same configuration...

Thank you very much for the quick response.
You were right about the <br>. It had to do with the email client.

However, even if there is no <br> , there is still a first blank page. That is, if the attachment is 2 pages, the final fax document received, will be 3 pages. 1 blank page, and the 2 pages of the attachment. I have included the -n -N in the faxmail command, with no result.
Is it possible that this blank page cannot be eliminated?

Thank you in advance

2. Can i remove the first page that is created from faxmail (the one with
the message headers: from, to etc) , so as only the attachment appears to
the fax job?
I've tried to remove the cover page and the header fields as stated in the
man of conf files, but it still creates a blank first page with <br>
character and then the attachment's pages follow.

faxmail -N -n works great. Your email client is probably configured to send HTML messages and it creates a <br> on the top of your message even if you don't type any content.
Just open in text mode the message you just sent and you should find a <br> somewhere. You also can try to configure your email client in plaintext mode instead of html.
