So do you have two conflicting installations?  One HylaFAX 4.4.4 and one 
HylaFAX+ 5.2.5?  You should have uninstalled one before installing the 
other.

It means that the modems cannot "hear" any fax signaling coming from the 
receiver.  Did something change that could alter the audio?
