Hello Rene,

as you are using capi4hylafax the developers of HylaFAX cannot help you much with this.
c4h was developed by SuSE and does not seem to be actively developed anymore. (Debian still uses the same upstream version as in August 2006.)

If I remember correct, c4h does not accept all characters that might be used in phone numbers. I think I had problems with numbers like 089/23456 but not with 089-23456. I don't know if Hylafax can filter the special characters when using c4h.

My personal recommendation: If you want a reliable system, use something that does not need c4h.
