What do you mean by "header"?  Do you mean the tagline at the top of the 
page?  You can disable that by putting this in your modem config file:

 TagLineFormat:  ""

Note, however, that faxing without a tagline is likely in violation of 
communication laws in your country.

Please provide us an example of the source TIFF file and the resulting PDF?
