[hylafax-users] R: ERR [124] COMREC error



Thank you for you reply.

I have this configuration:

Hylafax 4.4.4 on a pc with Ubuntu 8.10

Modem with chip motorola sm56

I know that this type of modem (winmodem) is not the better choice but I'ts
the only I' ve found in local shops.

The number is dialed, the modem detects fax tones, but after detecting 
fax tones the modem doesn't deliver the HDLC data detected in the fax 
tones for at least 30 seconds.  So HylaFAX attempts to recover from this 
by having the modem listen again...

... but by this time the signal that is detected is DCN (disconnect).  
So the 30 seconds was too long to wait for recovery to be possible.

What kind of modem is being used?  What version of HylaFAX?
